The Push Headquarters
Stichting PUSH operates a creative hub right next to Flipside Skatepark in Scherpenheuvel: the Push Headquarters. This vibrant space is full of energy and is the perfect spot for making music through band coaching and jam sessions. We also offer space for painting, digital art, presentations, and inspiring talks or just a general hang out for whoever feels like stopping by!
The Headquarters is a flexible venue that can also be used as an art exhibition space or meeting room. It’s a place where talent is nurtured, ideas come together, and creativity takes center stage.

Curaçao Skate Academy
To achieve our goals, we work closely with the Curaçao Skate Academy. Owner Patrick Kort and head coach Kerr de Lanooi play key roles in this collaboration.
For the past 13 years, the Curaçao Skate Academy (CSA) has been proudly training over 70 enthusiastic students every week at Flipside Skatepark with the help of experienced skate coaches. These lessons go far beyond teaching skateboard techniques—they focus on values such as sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, helpfulness, and perseverance. These core values are not only emphasized but also rewarded, as CSA believes they are essential not only for success in skating but also for facing life’s challenges off the skatepark.
More Than Just Skateboarding!
We’re expanding our program to include a creativity component inspired by skate culture, where art and design often play a central role. As a reward for their dedication, kids will have the chance to design and produce their own T-shirts and products. This not only provides a creative outlet but also strengthens their connection to the project.
CSA’s head coach, Kerr de Lanooi—a professional artist—will also lead painting and design workshops alongside the skate lessons. In these workshops, children will learn how to create original designs and paint them on skateboards and other products. The aim is to show them the power of making things themselves instead of only consuming.
On an island like Curaçao, where the economy is heavily import-driven, we want to inspire youth to discover their creative potential and take pride in what they can create with their own hands. This initiative encourages self-expression and nurtures an entrepreneurial spirit.
Raising Environmental Awareness
We also want to raise awareness about sustainability. We’ll establish a plastic collection point where children can drop off collected plastic. This plastic will then be repurposed to make our “Sushi Boards”—skateboards crafted from recycled materials. By doing so, we demonstrate how waste can be transformed into something valuable and promote an eco-conscious mindset among young people.
By combining sports, art, and sustainability, we aim to teach kids not only physical skills, but also life lessons in creativity, entrepreneurship, and environmental responsibility.
